Trip to Sainte Foy Tarentaise - 08 Feb

We went last week to Sainte Foy Tarentaise in the French Alps and had an unbelievable good time. To quote Paige: "This is the greatest thing I've ever done."

We drove down (12 hours). Stayed in a little apartment 50 meters from the lift. Anna Paige and Juliette did ski school and all were skiing by the last day. Sam even got going by the end ("get out of the way, daddy!") and we all went up to the top on our last day.

Anna in good snowplow form.

The Big Trip to the Top as a Family -

Dad, Juliette and Sam on lift to the top.

Mom, Anna, and Paige on lift to top overlooking our apartment complex.

Our first run down as a family. Photo includes the tip of Sam's ski.

Lunch on our final day at La Foglietta - lot's of hot chocolate.

Juliette coming down "Grand Soliet" in Stephanie's tracks.

Juliette and Stephanie pause as the sun is setting.

After the ski lifts closed the kids used Dad to get them to the top of the bunny hill.

All of us coming off the bunny hill following Sam's first run.

The Little Ones -

Our three ski school graduates. All three completed "Ourson."

Sam just loving his "Orange skiis with white guys" at the end of his first day.

Stephanie and Aaron -

We had two mornings of skiing together - this as we lifted above the fog to the top.

Stephanie at the top of "L'aiguille" - overlooking the alps.

Both of us at the top.

The hill from which Aaron was lucky to come out alive.

Back at the apartment

Sam taking in an orange or two...

Sam growing a monkey out of Paige's head - or so he said.

Resting in between runs...

Do we have to go home???

It snowed the night we were leaving and we left a wintry wonderland.
